Our Team

Great River Insurance Solutions is an independent insurance agency focused on commercial insurance coverage for small businesses, large corporations, and farms. Dave Severson and Tim Modjeski, the owners and brokers at Great River, have extensive knowledge and experience working with business owners to protect their company. Both Dave and Tim hold the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, further solidifying their knowledge in the commercial insurance industry.

Dave Severson, CIC

Dave has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry as a producer, agency manager, and agency owner. Dave has held the Certified Insurance Counselor designation for over 25 years. He has extensive experience and a broad knowledge of insurance coverage, with a focus on commercial insurance coverage. Dave understands that your business is your livelihood and believes a thriving business is too important to risk insuring it with an inexperienced agent.

Tim Modjeski, CIC

Tim’s extensive knowledge and experience in insurance has been primarily focused on commercial business, agribusiness and personal insurance. As a Certified Insurance Counselor and having worked as a producer, agency manager and agency owner, Tim has valuable experience in all aspects of the insurance industry. Much of Tim’s career was not spent in insurance, but in the environmental science and engineering industry.  The technical knowledge and expertise gained in working with all types of businesses along with local, state, and federal agencies regarding environmental rules, regulations and remediation translate into a passion to learn about your business operations while identifying the insurance coverage needed to protect your business. Tim’s environmental and insurance career have enabled him to work with business owners throughout the Midwest and nationwide. Tim has been a licensed insurance agent since 2008.
